Brandy-and-Gum is a classic, American drink from the nineteenth century. It was the original drink of the form that bred the Rock-and-Rye. It consists of a drink of French-style brandywine with some gum syrup. The brandywine and syrup are to be mixed by the drinker in the proportions he, or she, prefers.
