Toddies
Toddies are zested Slings. The terminus ante quem for the Toddy is found in "A Tour in the United States of America" by J.F.D. Smythe, published in the year 1784.
The default zest for Toddies is that of the lemon, but any ripe citrus zest may be used.
Plain Toddies are sweetened with plain, white sugar, or with simple syrup made of it and water.
Fancy Toddies are sweetened, at least in part, by ingredients that have both sweetness, and other flavors.
