Grogs
Grogs are mixed drinks in which alcoholic products are used to fortify greater amounts of water, or of products composed primarily of water.
The elemental nature of Grogs can be expressed as: STRONG + WEAK.
With an elemental terminus ante quem currently estimated at 4,500 years B.C., Grogs are the original type of mixed drink.
They were first present in the default ancient practice of mixing wine with greater amounts of water.
As for modern Grogs, the terminus ante quem for the form is currently in the year 1740 A.D., and in 1749 A.D. for the name, "grog."
