Wacholdergeist

Wacholdergeist is distilled from macerated juniper cones. Juniper cones are commonly called 'berries.'

Doppelwacholder is made with more juniper. When a German spirit is labeled as "doppel," it typically indicates a higher concentration of flavor. This is accomplished by using twice the botanical mass during production.

Steinhägergeist is made in Steinhagen, Germany, by fermenting a juniper mash, and then macerating that, plus more unfermented juniper cones, in neutral spirit before distilling a complex wacholdergeist from that maceration.
